Abstract

Batik is an intangible cultural heritage of Indonesia that has been recognized by UNESCO and needs to be preserved. But unfortunately there are limitations to wearing batik, many consider batik as formal clothing that is only suitable for formal events such as weddings, offices, and other events. The purpose of this design is to normalize the use of batik clothes in various places, therefore a design for this batik hangout campaign was created using qualitative research methods by interviewing several sources who understand design. With this design, it is hoped that batik can be accepted by young people for use in casual activities, starting from cafes, entertainment facilities, and other leisure activities. The design result is an Instagram social media account named @banong.id, Instagram social media was chosen because it is easily accessible by young people.
