Jurnal Synakarya seeks to publish a balanced mix of high-quality theoretical or empirical research articles, designing visual communication media, case studies, visual analysis, and media studies. In particular, Jurnal Synakarya looks for academic papers in the fields of graphic design, visual communication, visual culture, audio visual, web design, advertising, photography, videography, animation, multimedia, and game design.

Articles published in Jurnal Synakarya have been trough peer-review process by reviewer. Final decision of articles acceptance will be taken by editor team.

All accepted manuscripts will be published both online and in printed forms. The journal publishes two issues per year, namely Mei and October, in facilitating critical discussions among scholars and researchers of different disciplines on issues related to visual communication design and multimedia both theoretical and pragmatic.
